Tax Accounting and Reporting Senior Manager
Job Description
You will be a member of the Central Tax Accounting Group (CTAG), which is part of the Group Tax Function located in Amsterdam. The Central Tax Accounting team has 6 FTEs globally who are collectively responsible for the consolidated corporate income tax position and related tax accounting processes within Philips.
Along with working with your colleagues in CTAG, our work also requires close contact with all the tax and accounting teams across the globe and Group Control, Group Treasury, Group Technical Oversight and Advisory and IT Transformation teams, amongst others.
Your role:
This position allows you to use your financial reporting and tax accounting knowledge to ensure the financial integrity and transparency of the Royal Philips IFRS consolidated tax position and related reporting processes. The role requires a multi-disciplinary approach to ensure all stakeholders work together to produce timely and accurate reporting. While performing on current commitments, the successful candidate will look for ways to continuously improve the tax accounting processes impacting the accounting and tax teams at a global scale.
You will be part of the team responsible for:
Hands-on preparation of our financial and management reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, as well as the preparation of relevant tax disclosures included in our Annual Report and our Country Activity and Tax Report.
Overseeing and reviewing the tax positions as prepared by our local and regional tax teams to ensure correct, complete, and timely tax accounting and reporting in accordance with IFRS, guide local teams in finalizing the reporting in the tax tool.
Performing periodical Tax forecasting process, carry out Deferred Tax assets (DTA) recognition process, and provide Tax (P&L and Cash) guidance for mid to long term.
Interacting and discussing tax reporting topics with internal stakeholders (FP&A, Group consolidation, Investor relations) and external stakeholders including the auditor.
Identify and drive continuous improvements in the tax accounting and reporting tool (Hyperion Tax Provision).
You’re the right fit if you have the following skills and experience:
Master’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics, or CPA / CA level qualification.
6+ years’ relevant experience in-house tax reporting experience. Experience working in a similar role at a client for a Big 4 will be considered a big advantage.
Ability to manage multiple deliverables and stakeholders’ expectations along with deadlines (month, quarter, and year-end and Annual Report deadlines).
Experience with, or a keen interest in, Tax technology / IT systems (experience with Tax accounting tools. Hyperion Tax Provision tool will be an added advantage).
