As a Learning Design Specialist in the International Training & Development Team, you are responsible for the design and development of state of the art learning experiences. You work with the commercial development team for Asia and program managers who are subject matter experts, to gather learning needs and requirements. You create impact, both with innovative content creation and with winning delivery and handover of those programs. You apply learning design successfully to build international (scalable) learning programs that will support and inspire our Retail Brand Ambassadors to provide best in class customer experiences.

Furthermore, you will:

  • Design and develop engaging, on-brand blended learning programs for Asia region including other Retail, Travel and Wholesale, by using a variety of learning formats such as e-learning courses, classroom presentations, webinars and video’s.
  • Work with the Asia Team and Subject Matter Experts, to gather learning needs and requirements.
  • Plan projects according to the strategic roadmap.
  • Act as a consultant to advice on learning methods and needs.
  • Drive operational excellence by initiating process improvements and improve ways of working.
  • Perform gap analysis to update and maintain our learning curriculum and transfer knowledge and skills, supported by data from Mystery Shop, LMS and PowerBI (KPI) dashboard for our various Lines of Businesses
  • As a Learning Design Specialist you use your creative mindset and magic to translate business needs into excellent learning programs. You make sure that what you develop is grounded in adult learning principles and is spot on, intuitive and delightful for our learners.

    On top of it you have:

  • At least 3 years of work experience in instructional design using various innovative methods (e-learning, micro-learning, gamification, performance support, video production, design etc.)
  • Knowledge of didactics, adult learning, 70:20:10 model, knowledge transfer principles
  • Experience in project management, stakeholder management and implementation of learning solutions
  • Experience with learning management systems, content authoring tools, and rapid design tools
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • You will spend most of your time at our Amsterdam Central Head Office. We hope you can appreciate the view of one of the most iconic Amsterdam canals.
