Radisson Hotel & Suites Amsterdam South has 227 suites and rooms and opened in April 2021. We want to appeal to both transient and longer-staying travellers visiting the Dutch capital. Each of the studio’s, one-bed and two-bed apartments has its own fully equipped kitchen. For this great property we need to have a Reservations Manager with the real YES, I CAN! – attitude.

As the Reservations Manager, you will be responsible for the Reservations Department at Radisson Hotel & Suites Amsterdam South. You will be working together with the Reservations Agent closely with the Cluster Revenue Manager, Sales Manager and Front Office Manager. 

Main purpose of the position:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations for individual, groups, and extended stay reservations.
  • Ensure you and the team handle all reservation details accurately and in a timely manner while creating a flawless experience for the guest.
  • Optimize business by ensuring all reservations are handled according to our commercial strategy.
  • Control and maintain the interface link of all interfaced booking channels.
  • Collaboration with operational departments (restaurants and front office) to ensure interdepartmental processes are effective and efficient.
  • Support the Reservations Agent with taking restaurant/room reservations and the necessary follow-up of these reservations.
  • Act as a role model for your team members, as you plan, organize, and assign work. You train, inspire, and motivate your team to make sure they meet our main goal, maximum revenue, and happy guests.
    Be an excellent problem solver and do not shy away from a challenge, as you are creatively and with a sense of humour solve our guest’s issues and complaints.
  • Standard Duties:

  • Monitor daily bookings as well as new bookings for all reservations (e.g. restaurant, conference & events, groups and individual rooms).
  • Provide management with detailed information about current and future bookings.
  • Take an active role in rolling out/searching for revenue opportunities.
  • Provide the appropriate departments with adequate information about current and future business and new procedures.
  • Manager on Duty shifts like other HOD’s and Supervisors.
  • Operational:

  • Controlling working-hours / holiday consumption.
  • On the job coaching of the team.
  • Checking reservations for 100% accuracy
  • Check accuracy of VIP lists
  • Review daily revenues and monitor no-show charges & cancelation charges.
  • One team, one dream: you might be asked to assist reservations teams at other Cycas properties.
  • For this function we would like you to:

  • Have excellent communication skills in English. Dutch is preferred but not required.
  • Have previous experience working with Opera.
  • You have leadership experience, preferably at a Reservations or Front Office Department.
  • Not afraid to make decisions independently.
  • Be organized and a have a great eye for detail.
  • Customer focused “Yes I Can’’-mentality.
  • Passionate about people and teamwork.
  • Have a hands-on mentality and ability to work independently.
