Job Description:
As a Lean Consultant, you base conclusions and results on data. We analyze that data, look for connections and root causes to achieve impactful results. You will use project management skills to set up the DMAIC structure and create a schedule to meet deadlines.
You are responsible for projects from start to finish, liaising with all involved parties to support the organization. You ensure the correct implementation of changes with the business owner. Your role varies from initiating, to implementing, and evaluating.
You will work on various projects, from process optimizations to strategic projects utilizing Lean capabilities for analysis and structure. These often involve cross-chain improvement projects guiding senior management through challenges. You perform analyses to identify improvement potentials focusing on customer/employee satisfaction, cost savings, or revenue growth.
Examples of your work include:
- Improving throughput and processing times in credit origination
- Designing a process for ESG data capture and use for advising clients
- Setting up roles, responsibilities, and workflows for new or changing departments
Working environment
Strategy Execution & Implementation (SE&I) is a center of expertise within ABN AMRO’s COO office, comprising professionals skilled in program, project, change, implementation management, and Lean Six Sigma consultancy. They possess knowledge of client units and bank domains, managing strategic and regulatory change end-to-end to embed changes effectively, thereby increasing the bank’s execution power.
You will be part of the Sales & Operational Excellence Consultancy team within SE&I, collaborating with other (lean) consultants, P&C departments globally, client segments, products, and external stakeholders to manage change processes.
Your profile
- Lean or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- Minimum 6 years of impactful Lean (Six Sigma) project experience
- Ability to coach less experienced colleagues
- Excellent communicator and informal leader
- Outgoing personality, capable of engaging at multiple levels and sparring with senior management
- Strong analytical, presentation, and consultancy skills
- Ability to translate holistic views into concrete actions
- Fluent in Dutch and English (speaking and writing)
We are offering
- Gross monthly salary based on a 36-hour week, including vacation pay and benefits; 40-hour options available
