Internship: Health Access & Equity Program

Location: Amsterdam 3x per week, Eindhoven once a month
Type:  Internship – not suitable for thesis
Length: minimum until the end of July 2025, 8 months+ is preferred
Time: 32-40 hours/week
Expected Start Date:  February 2025

Your role:

  • Support the creation of and engagement with “intrapreneurship” community and program (Leadership Program and Community to drive our health access & equity ambition)

  • Drive the visibility and sharing of our “social impact” work within the company; engage with other working groups to identify and increase synergies

  • Supporting ad hoc, relevant requests related to health equity and access (e.g. research for strategy work, etc.).

  • Support promising health equity access acceleration projects (market research in global health and social business topics)

  • Synthesize results and disseminate them internally through presentations, reports, and briefs

  • Capture minutes of the meetings, create action trackers and follow up on progress updates

  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the Businesses, Regions, Functions, and Partners, and ensure maximum coordination of resources and effort.

  • You’re the right fit if:

  • Currently running your Bachelor or Master studies in studies such as Communication, (digital) Marketing, Global/Public Health, Health Economics/management, (Development) Economics, Sustainable Development, or any other relevant studies, master level preferred,

  • Strong communication & writing skills

  • Strong networker & connector

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Motivated, talented, hard-working, eager, independent, hands-on young individual

  • Relevant experience, e.g. previous internship, (extracurricular projects, etc.) related to global health and business

  • Excellent knowledge of oral and written English

  • We are looking for an intern who can spend 6-12 months in the internship. Longer term (> 8 months) is preferred for maximum learning experience.

You will gain insight into significant events within Royal Philips from an accounting and reporting perspective, as well as insight into other teams within Royal Philips.     Next to that, we are offering a decent internship package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 – €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €145,- net

  • Paid holidays per internship term.

  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop

  • Important:
    Please note that in order to be considered for an internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation (proof of enrollment) will be requested. Students from outside the EU need to fill in an NUFFIC agreement, which needs to be signed by the student and the university. Please note that the contents of our regular internship assignments are not suitable for professionals (and/or MBA students) with professional work experience.
