Job Description:
This client is a global market-leading freight forwarding company seeking an experienced and dynamic Health-care Global Tender Manager. This role is essential for managing and optimising their tender processes for key health-care and pharmaceutical clients. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the health-care or pharmaceutical vertical within the logistics or freight forwarding industry, with robust knowledge of both ocean and air freight operations. This position demands a strategic thinker with the ability to foster strong relationships and drive excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Tender Management:
Lead and manage the entire tender process from initiation to submission, ensuring all deadlines are met and proposals are competitive and compelling.
Develop comprehensive tender strategies tailored to health-care and pharmaceutical clients, emphasising value-added services and competitive pricing.
HCIV Pricing:
Oversee Health-care Industry Vertical (HCIV) pricing, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with market trends.
Collaborate with internal pricing teams to refine and optimise pricing models for health-care logistics solutions.
Temperature-Controlled Transport:
Maintain and expand expertise in temperature-controlled transport solutions critical for health-care and pharmaceutical products.
Stay abreast of market developments and regulatory changes impacting temperature-controlled logistics.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key health-care customers, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Collaborate closely with internal account managers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Market Insights and Strategy:
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics within the health-care logistics sector.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance this clients service offerings and market positioning.
Internal Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and compliance, to ensure holistic and cohesive service delivery.
Provide training and guidance to internal teams on best practices in health-care tender management and pricing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Extensive experience in the health-care or pharmaceutical vertical within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
Proven track record in managing tenders and pricing strategies for health-care clients.
Strong knowledge of ocean and air freight operations.
Expertise in temperature-controlled transport solutions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools for tender management and pricing analysis.
