German Language Manager

About this role:
As our German Language Manager, your main goal will be to create and improve German texts, so we can connect with all our different audiences, across (ATL+BTL) channels. Focusing on everything from copywriting and transcreation to proofreading, coaching sessions and quality checks, this is a varied role where you will cover a wide scope of language-oriented topics.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Create source content from scratch, in both English and German for relevant local campaigns
- Transcreate high-profile marketing projects
- Translation of BAU projects
- Proofread, review and edit copy delivered by the external agency
- Manage relationships internally and externally, and work with stakeholders to define the tone and style for the German language
- Align with country-specific teams across the business on projects and campaigns
- Maintain language-related documents such as the German brand voice, glossaries and style guides
- Collect and analyse insights to drive quality improvement
- Mentor internal and external writers to ensure they have the tools to produce great German copy
What will you bring to the table?
- Multiple years of experience writing, reviewing and proofreading in both German and English
- Strong affinity for brand copywriting
- Native speaker of German and fluent proficiency in English
- Broad experience with CAT tools and TMS
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully manage internal & external relationships
- Comfortable with working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
