Job Summary:
NIO is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst and Accountant combining analytical expertise with core accounting knowledge. You will provide support to multiple EU countries while being based at EU headquarters in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, conducting variance analyses, and supporting the budgeting and re-forecasting process, as well as managing the full spectrum of accounting tasks for a subsidiary of NIO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive P&L reports by analyzing and reporting actual revenues, costs, and expenses.
- Conduct budget vs. actual variance analysis to track financial performance.
- Support monthly re-forecasting and the annual budgeting process.
Accounting:
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with US GAAP accounting standards.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in audit processes.
Cost Management & Analysis:
- Work closely with the operations team to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize spending.
- Assist in developing financial strategies to improve operational efficiency.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze relevant financial data.
- Partner with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or CFA certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with SAP.
- Knowledge of US GAAP Accounting Standards; IFRS is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment and adapt to changing priorities.
