Move forward as a Facility Specialist at DSV in Amsterdam
Whether it’s replacing a lightbulb in our warehouse or dealing with a technical malfunction in one of our building systems, you know what to do!

You make it happen
Providing our customers with flawless logistics services from our 50,000 m2 warehouse with 200 colleagues is what we do at DSV in Amsterdam. To ensure this, our facility department makes sure that all amenities at our location are perfectly operational and maintained. You will ensure that everything needed for this is always in stock. In short, you contribute to this effort.

How do you do this? With your extensive knowledge and experience in facilities management, you oversee all activities and procedures within your area of expertise. You work closely with your technical colleagues. As a team, you are the point of contact for colleagues with facility-related questions, from replacing a light bulb to placing an order from your stock. If something is not in stock, it’s your job to purchase it promptly.

You keep contracts, certifications, and conditions up to date within the applicable service level agreements. Additionally, you are the internal and external contact person for coordinating waste flows, cleaning tasks, and other maintenance work.

You achieve this by:

handling first-line malfunction reports, performing/coordinating technical maintenance on buildings, business equipment, and infrastructure;

coordinating procurement in the field of facility services. You maintain contact with suppliers, negotiate with them as needed, and engage them on an ad-hoc basis;

managing and distributing the inventory of consumables, such as tape, pallets, packaging materials, and more.

Your team stands out at DSV for its extensive knowledge of buildings and installations. You work closely with Willem, who has a lot of knowledge and expertise in Amsterdam and is eager to teach you. You will work as a team and enjoy your work together. After all, there must be some laughter.

You bring

experience in a facilities role, such as facility assistant, maintenance worker, or technical staff or similar;

proficiency in both Dutch and English;

common sense, a practical attitude, and problem-solving skills;
