Job Description
As a Digital Merchandiser, you are responsible for developing and executing strategies for your category to maximize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction for the Rituals website and APP. You in fact will run your own digital shop for the “gifting” category. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, customer preferences, and digital merchandising techniques.
As a Digital Merchandiser, your main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Develop and implement digital category strategy, including setting KPI and alignment with stakeholders
- Track, report and optimize on key performance indications related to online sales, conversion rates and customer engagement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the overall business goals and marketing campaigns
- Oversee the digital presentation of category products, ensuring high-quality images, accurate descriptions, and optimal placement on the website
- Together with the customer journey colleague, develop the online customer journey to facilitate upsell, easy navigation and searchability for customers acting as the digital shopmanager for your category
- Spot and capitalize on trends (what can we learn from our peers, and how can we outshine their initiatives?) and leverage product and merchandising opportunities.
- Make sure customers never leave empty-handed: work with supply chain specialists to improve our stock management and forecasting processes.
Within the Digital Department, you work together with your Digital Commerce team, but you are in close contact with the omnichannel team, the digital marketing team, and marketing campaign team. Just like you, they all have a genuine drive to use every commercial opportunity to increase sales, without loosing the quality we expect at Rituals. There is a strong team spirit as we all need each other to keep up with the growth at Rituals.
Qualifications
We are looking for a Digital Merchandiser who is passionate about Rituals and excels in Digital Merchandise Management. Apart from that, we’d love to see the following background and experience:
- You perform on a Bachelor’s or Master’s level and you have 4-6 or more years of experience in merchandising/marketing in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit and love to take ownership.
- Your analytics skills are excellent. You are just great with data!
- You have a fine sense of business and commerce.
- You have great communication skills in fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Last but not least. You are able to show a critical eye/ask the right questions and are confident to express your opinion.
