This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operational readiness of complex, mission-critical facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive commissioning of base building systems, encompassing levels 3, 4, and 5. This includes overseeing, documenting, and tracking various aspects of commissioning activities, ensuring all systems meet stringent performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and synchronize on-site construction and installation efforts, ensuring alignment with engineering designs and performance benchmarks.
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive commissioning protocols for essential infrastructure, encompassing network connectivity, security protocols, life safety systems, and integrated building subsystems.
  • Execute thorough system validation and performance testing, confirming adherence to regulatory guidelines and performance objectives.
  • Diagnose, monitor, and rectify technical discrepancies throughout the commissioning phase, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver viable resolutions.
  • Generate and curate detailed commissioning records, including testing methodologies, performance evaluations, and as-built documentation.
  • Observe and verify equipment functionality, confirming operational sequences and ensuring comprehensive documentation acquisition.
  • Facilitate collaboration among design specialists, project leaders, contractors, and facility management personnel to ensure smooth system integration.
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols to maintain superior standards during construction and commissioning.
  • Design and validate site-specific operational procedures, including standard operating procedures, method of procedures, and emergency response plans.
  • Deliver instructional sessions to user groups and maintenance staff on the operation and upkeep of commissioned systems.
  • Apply established change management procedures to secure approvals, execute, and document preventative and corrective maintenance actions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, project management, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in critical infrastructure engineering, commissioning, or project management.
  • Strong background in building maintenance, electrical, HVAC, security, network, telecommunications, and/or fire detection/suppression systems.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of security and network equipment, systems, and design related to critical facilities.
  • Experience with access control, CCTV, and other security systems.
  • Experience with network switches, structured cabling, and IP telephony.
  • Experience with fire risers, VESDA, and gaseous suppression systems.
  • Knowledge of equipment/building operations and maintenance, including elevators, finishes, and critical scripted work.
