For our EMEA Headquarters in Amsterdam, we are currently seeking to recruit VP Marketing EMEA for our Marketing team Commercial Aviation.

VP Marketing EMEA (Int. Manager Marketing)


You will be responsible to maximize the potential impact of commercial aircraft sales campaigns within the EMEA region, specifically by developing comprehensive market awareness/understanding of potential applications of Embraer products. Particular emphasis is placed on rigorous analysis and the development and the influencing of market-forward perspectives in alignment with the team as well as the established (corporate) planning processes and procedures. Reports into the Head of Region Europe and Central Asia as direct report and to the Heads of Leasing and of Middle East and Africa in a dotted line.


  • You will lead a highly educated, multi-cultural team of marketing analysts, managers and directors: motivate and unleash the best potential of an expert team supporting the Europe and Central Asia, Leasing, Middle East and Africa and Events in the region.
  • Market influence: Perform all necessary market research activities to establish which strategies best reinforce Embraer’s brand, product and service awareness in the region.
  • Market prospecting: carry out the detailed analysis of all relevant macro- and micro-level metrics to determine (new) market opportunities; nurturing them toward full-fledged business development cases, in alignment with the sales team prospection plan.
  • Market development: highlight the value of Embraer’s products in sales campaigns and help advance these towards contract definition phase.
  • Operational efficiency: assure the optimum use and allocation of corporate marketing and intelligence resources.
  • Drive customer intimacy, build meaningful customer relations and create brand awareness. Manage effective market promotion and develop a customer events strategy and ensure timely execution.
  • Provide understanding and direction related to regional market trends as well as key issues which will drive commercial aviation sales activity in the region.
  • Enhance analytical and research tools required to perform critical market analysis activities.
  • Assist in the creation of the annual Strategic Sales Plan.
  • Perform detailed bottom-up analysis of commercial airline operations in the region in order to identify priorities and concentrations for the Marketing and Sales campaign pipeline.
  • Prepare ad-hoc country and carrier-specific studies as well as develop comprehensive presentation materials deemed to be high priority and/or high value as required.
  • Develop and nurture external industry contacts as well as visit customers with sales and account teams in order to present relevant analyses.
  • Lead and develop a team to reach the best-in-class standards of OEM marketing, including developing a dedicated training plan for the team, immersing the team with central marketing teams, promote a team spirit in a matrix organization, continually drive for up-skilling and cross-skilling of the team.
  • Promote an inclusive and diverse leadership style in line with the Embraer value pillars.
  • Act as senior marketing leader for the region with engagements in front of the C-Suite of customers and engagements at conferences.


  • Degree in Engineering, Aviation, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent.
  • Senior Marketing expert and leader with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Aerospace/Aviation industry and with at least 3 years leadership experience.
  • The individual should be empathetic, open-minded and strong on presentation skills to work in a multi-cultural environment often to very short deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and airline network, scheduling tools as well as aircraft performance tools is essential.
  • The incumbent should possess knowledge of airlines business, traffic, fleet, schedule and economic databases; air transport-related data sets/statistical sources; fleet assignment and planning models; market intelligence resources including all manner of geo-political, demographic, economic and other critical macro-level information.
  • Self-confidence, resilience and flexibility are necessary skills to succeed in this role.
  • Methodic, goal oriented & strategic thinker.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Other languages would be of advantage.
  • Capable and willing to travel frequently.

Candidates who are already eligible to work in The Netherlands (by the means of residence permit or EU/EEA passport) are preferred however, it is not a prerequisite.
