Role Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Monitoring Engineer with strong knowledge of AppDynamics (AppD) and ThousandEyes monitoring technologies.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding monitoring requirements, designing and implementing monitoring solutions, and collaborating closely with Product Owners and stakeholders.
- The role requires strong technical, communication, presentation, and solution-design capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and understand enterprise monitoring requirements.
- Design and implement monitoring solutions based on business and technical requirements.
- Configure and support AppDynamics monitoring solutions.
- Configure and manage ThousandEyes Synthetic Monitoring.
- Prepare and present High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD).
- Provide technical recommendations and influence monitoring solution design decisions.
- Independently assess monitoring requirements and determine appropriate solutions.
- Estimate effort for monitoring requirements and Product Backlog items.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand and fulfil monitoring demands.
- Support ITIL-based processes and operational activities.
- Work effectively within an Agile delivery environment.
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities where required.
- Present technical solutions and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Essential Skills
- 6–8 years of relevant IT experience.
- Strong understanding of AppDynamics (AppD).
- Strong understanding of ThousandEyes.
- Experience with Synthetic Monitoring.
- Experience designing and implementing monitoring solutions.
- Ability to independently analyse monitoring requirements.
- Experience preparing HLD and LLD documentation.
- Strong solution design and technical recommendation skills.
- ITIL process knowledge.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working with Product Owners and stakeholders.
- Ability to estimate technical work and effort.
Desirable Skills
- Java scripting knowledge.
- ServiceNow experience.
- Experience working in Agile teams.
- Enterprise monitoring and observability experience.
- Experience with IT Service Management tools and processes.
